Travel through time: Vigan trip

As we are colonized by the Spaniards way back, they left a mark on architecture which can be seen through old houses and historical landmarks of the Philippines. In addition, there is a province with locals speaking and dialect which is almost the same as Spanish. And I tell you, some of them can speak Spanish well. We stayed in Vigan overnight at MelSol Hotel and explored the famous Calle Crisologo. It was raining then and MelSol Hotel didn't advertise that they are doing some MAJOR renovations! The phone in the rooms are not working and they even don't have an elevator. Funny thing is they will ask you to contact their reception thru your mobile phone but there is no cell signal in the rooms. The pool is also closed, sad! Their pool looked lovely in the photos and it is one of the few reasons why we decided to stay there so imagine my demise when we came. So I will not recommend that hotel until it's fully renovated. The only thing good about MelSol is the location and their staff members are friendly.

On a side note, if you are planning for a long drive, I suggest wearing comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely on your vehicle. I wore a matching jacket and jogging pants with a sleeveless inside so I can easily remove my jacket when we happen to stop by somewhere hot. I also suggest bringing a neck pillow and a blanket. Even though I work on a ship which has 24/7 air-conditioning system, I'm still not used to feeling cold.
