Last Wednesday, I've learned that I no longer have an oily skin and now has a combination skin. The beauty consultant said that my outer skin layer is dry and my inner is oily thus having a combination skin type. I was really surprised when I got chosen for a free facial trial in Singapore. You might think that this is only a marketing strategy and that it is not free because they will charge you when you come for the treatment which it isn't. Yes, you heard it right. there are still things for free nowadays. Shocked and amazed I am but it is true. They will offer you vouchers and memberships after the treatment wherein you have a choice whether not to buy or not. As for my case, I won 2 facials in different clinics so my aim is to try and compare both before giving in.
I had the basic pigmentation facial with eye treatment. Shakura uses all natural ingredients formulated in Japan and they don't use any machines or lasers. Honestly, it is the first time that I had a facial which doesn't hurt. Normally when they put creams on my face it stings. Minus the pricking, of course, it will hurt a bit. And they mentioned that I have a thin facial skin so that explains why my face easily reacts to chemicals which are not suitable for me. I also learned that I am more compatible with hydrating facial cream and will now try to find some cosmetics that will suit me. I had been using products for oily skin or acne prevention as I've noticed that my skin became oily which is weird because working on the ship and being exposed to air-conditioning every day can make your skin dry. It suddenly changed after I used lush organic soap for my face and body.
Learning so many things about my skin really helped me to choose what is best for me. After going to Shakura and having my skin analyzed, I am now more aware of what products to use. When you reach your late 30's you will realize that it is a must to know how to take care of your skin. I also loved how friendly and accommodating their staff members are. As a Trainer, that is the first thing I always notice when I am in an establishment since hospitality and guest service is my forte.
First they cleaned my face, put on a mask, some creams, did a little pricking and last is the double layer cold mask which I definitely enjoyed. I was also surprised by how fast you can see the results. The therapist put the cream first on half of my face and compared it with the other half. It's been three days since the treatment and I still can feel the results. Given that it is only a basic treatment, I am really looking forward to how the intensive treatment will react on my face.

Shakura Pigmentation Beauty has clinics all over Singapore and the clinic that I visited is located at Plaza Singapura. Thoughts? I love how they give you a personalized skin care solutions with visible results in just one treatment. The Consultant told me that my skin doesn't have a lot of problems and I only need 2 to 3 treatments. I might be considering being a member of Shakura and having them fix my acne scar problem.
