Sanctuary of Truth, Pattaya Thailand.
Crew members had been posting photos of this wooden temple and I got curious that I needed to go there. I am always in awe whenever I see religious temples. We then docked at Laem Chabang port in Thailand, a few hours away from Bangkok and 45-minutes drive to Pattaya. We went to the Sanctuary of Truth which is a religious construction in Pattaya, Thailand. The sanctuary is an all-wood building filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist and Hindu motifs. If you are wearing shorts or a skirt, you need to wear a sarong on top of it before you can enter the passageway to the temple. They will ask you to deposit 300baht which will be refunded the moment you return the sarong. They will also charge 500baht for the entrance, 600 if you want to ride an ATV, and 1,000 for the elephant. You will be amazed how well they carved the sculptures inside. This is probably a visit that I will remember for the rest of my life. I only used my iPhone to take photos given the quality of the pictures but I am considering buying a nice camera if I will have a chance to continue blogging.
The temple was undergoing renovation when we came so we needed to wear a hard had. Imagine me finding a place to hide my hard hat before posing for a photo.
As my phone cannot give justice to how beautiful the place was, I searched for a much better photo on the Internet and I found this blogger also can tell you the complete details about the Sanctuary, just click on the link.
We also did a quick stop at Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya for some souvenirs and went to a mall for lunch. We then after had a massage near the mall area.
