A ticket to a happy life
- I will make it a point to have fresh flowers on my work table. It is always pleasant and calming in my eyes if I see flowers or plants around my workplace. It also, in some ways take away the stress that I am feeling. But I need to buy a vase first.
- I'll try NOT-TO-BE-LATE. I admit, I am always late and I've used the "I'm not late, you're just early and the "blame my bed for not letting me get-up early" lines so many times. So for this coming year, I try, but is still not promising not to be late (hehe!)
- Smile a LOT. My family, friends and colleagues often tells me that I don't know the right way of smiling. I also get the same first impression over and over again... what's that? that I am snob, masungit or suplada and one even said that I am nakakatakot. haha! So, I will also try to smile as often as I can.
- I will try to bring my mobile phone wherever I go and answer text messages and calls as soon as I can. My family and friends always complains about me not answering their message on time. Yes, I'm a bad text mate. I often read messages late and when I do, as I am thinking of what to reply, I will end up forgetting to reply to it. Well, I also admit that I am not a fan of texting because I, sometimes hate the thought of somebody looking for me or asking what am I doing. So when I text, I'm honest about what I say. But I wanna change this, I wanna try to reach out more.
- Plan, plan and plan more. At the end of the year, my planner always have room for notes for the next year or the even the year after the next because I always forget to write my schedule or agenda for the day. So when I try to recall events, I became lost every time.
- Spend MONEY and TIME wisely. Again, I admit, I'm an impulsive buyer. I can't help spending especially when I'm hungry (which I think is good) and when I see something nice at the malls or elsewhere. This time, I will try not to buy the things that are not in my priority list. *fingers-crossed*
- SAVE up for the future. In line with item number 6, I believe that everybody should save up for the future. Especially myself, considering I'm the only daughter of my loving parents.
- Be more appreciative but never assume. I am always told that I am "cold" in almost everything not only in "love", but what can I do? the last thing I wanna be is a person who thinks otherwise. The best remedy to this, I believe is to appreciate everything but never ever jump into a conclusion unless otherwise told in my face.
- Balance my study and singing time. Aside from work, I always spend my time singing and rehearsing in chorus. Especially this last quarter of the year where I have 3 concerts, I only had Monday and Friday night free. But when December came, I'm left with only Saturday night. So, this coming 2012 since I will hopefully enroll again for my masters, I will try to balance the three: Work, Singing Career (haha!) and Studies.
- RELAX and FOCUS. When a lot of things are in front of me, I tend to loose focus. What I need to do is to analyze things one at a time so that I can end up with a nicer solution to things that will not go in my favor.
- Be more PATIENT. which I don't wanna elaborate why.. hahaha!
- Be positive! I'm a Virgo, I guess that's the reason why I'm a worrier. But this I have to lessen. I have to put in mind that life is way much to complicated for me to complicate it even more by minding all the negativity that I can think of. The best way to do is to trust that the Lord will not give me anything that I cannot handle.
- Enjoy life while I'm young. Need not to explain this item further.
With that, let me end with a quote:
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
Cheers to 2012! May it be a Lovelier year for each and everyone of us!
