23rd birthday celeb

Choir - I was somewhat surprised with how the word is defined (at least with one, haha!)

• an organized company of singers (as in a church service)a group of instruments of the same class
• an organized group of persons or things
• a division of angels (:p)
• the part of a church occupied by the singers or by the clergy; also : the part of a church where the services are performed
• a group organized for ensemble speaking

At this point, I am a member of three different choir. Our office choir and two church choir. I found out that in one of my choir, September celebrants used to celebrate their birthday by doing an outreach program. This time, our group officers decided to go to a home for the loving lolos and lolas. We went to the San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly at Pasay City. It is my first time to do such thing.. of course, I CRIED. One of my choir mate sung Ugoy ng Duyan and wasn't able to finish the song because she herself cried while singing the first few lines.  When our group sung, some lolos stood up and sung too. They say it is their humble way of saying thank you to us. :)

One grandmother from the house really caught my attention. Her name was Edith Saggay, a graduate of Agriculture from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Brilliant and loving lady. She asked me, "may lola ka pa ba?" then I responded with tears saying: Wala na. :( Then she said, "sige, ako nalang lola mo"

What a wonderful experience. I really hope I can go back there. :)
